ProjectMan is a local-first personal operations backend for the unruly middle ground between notes, tasks, projects, calendars, and action. Its goal is to let someone capture a rough thought immediately, then progressively turn it into structured, actionable work without requiring perfect classification at the moment of capture.

The workflow follows a practical sequence: capture, clarify, organize, surface, execute, and review. A vague note can become a task, project, event, reference, or someday item; actionable work can gain a concrete next action, context, date, or destination in the hierarchy. Raw capture remains as source evidence rather than being confused with the lifecycle item created from it.

ProjectMan exposes this state through a browser workbench, REST API, CLI, and MCP tool surface. Its daily Focus view combines calendar pressure, an explained shortlist, current actions, and attention signals. Its weekly Review assembles a guided “Get Clear, Get Current, Get Creative” pass without creating a second review database or competing lifecycle.

Assistance is deliberately reviewable. ProjectMan can draft clarification and organization suggestions, but the human edits or approves them and existing validated operations perform the mutation. The product is designed to reduce cognitive overhead while preserving agency: recommendations are explanations, not commands, and the system should never require more administrative effort than it gives back.
